OUR COMMITMENT

JULES LEBÈGUE:
A LEADING COMPANY IN ECO-DESIGN
AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Since 2019, and at the initiative of the management, Maison Jules Lebègue has made sustainable development its raison d’être in Bordeaux, with one objective in mind: to be recognised as a smart and committed player in the green transition in Bordeaux.

To achieve this ambition, the company has put in place an ambitious Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) action plan, in line with the AdVini Group’s ESG policy and the Bordeaux Cultivons Demain initiative. The plan involves all employees and has 4 main focuses:

As a sustainable, high-performance company, we are working to:

  • Develop our volumes with existing distributors and seek out new partners
  • Increase the volume of wines purchased with environmental certification
  • Develop the Jules Lebegue brand into a key label in the Bordeaux region
  • Focus our export efforts on identified high-potential countries while growing our business in France
  • Preserve our profitability by talking to our customers to adapt our sales prices in a coherent and acceptable way, in a context of shortage of raw materials

As a company that protects the environment, we are committed to:

  • Preventing pollution
  • To put the eco-design of our wines and packaging at the heart of our actions, in order to reduce their impact on the environment
  • Participate in the creation of a carbon benchmark for the Bordeaux wine sector
  • Maintain or even reduce our impact on water and energy resources, without compromising product quality or infrastructure maintenance
  • Ensure our compliance with ICPE requirements
  • Reduce the proportion of non-recyclable waste and improve its recovery

A key player in the wine industry and in our region:

  • Bordeaux Cultivons Demain” Level 2 certification
  • Continuation of the CSR transformation plan involving all our employees, with structuring projects and concrete eco-actions
  • Extending our partnerships with wine schools
  • Supporting our suppliers and those upstream in the industry in their economic, social and environmental development
  • Maintaining the level of our current certifications by adapting to the most recent versions of each standard (IFS, BRC, ISO 14 001, Demeter, Organic Farming, Bio Suisse), producing safe, legal products that comply with regulations and the expectations of our stakeholders, guaranteeing the authenticity and reducing the vulnerability of our products.
  • Continuous improvement of our food safety and quality culture

Governance that is committed, open to dialogue and forward-looking, with the aim of:

  • Continue to consult our internal and external stakeholders to improve our level of dialogue
  • Improve the quality of life at work for our employees, so that they can achieve their full potential within the company, in line with the RPS study carried out with the support of the occupational health department.
  • Prepare the handover from one generation to the next with a training plan for different tasks and organisational changes
  • Continue to train our managers
  • Review the induction process for new employees
